I also had some brief activities around the home front, but I figured I had about 2 hours of video footage and a bunch of photos and I would most likely edit it down into two 10 minute videos (with a winter Holiday theme). But when I was moving them from the camera memory card to the laptop, while clicking and dragging, my finger slipped off the mouse button and they dropped back onto the card. And for some reason, this caused them to all be corrupted. So after working for many hours with recovery software, I have gotten some photos back, but the video is all lost ! Just an eventual part of doing videos I guess for YouTube ! Now I will have to hope for a snow storm to be able to re-shoot the video ! It is most likely going to happen !!
For the Last year (or maybe two), I have been obsessed with dreaming about living full-time in an RV and traveling the country. I watch 12 different YouTube channels on full timing, I listen to 3 different Weekly Podcasts about RVing. And I have read a couple of books and numerous websites about full-time RVing. The one big thing all the full-timers say is “Wish we would have started sooner”. So I am looking into what possibilities there are. I believe you must have a plan ! (It seems at the moment it has to include a lottery winning ticket). Stay tuned, I’ll take you along on my travels to look at various Motorhomes.
A Co-worker of mine, a very good friend and the guy who enticed me into buying my Aliner, is retiring at the end of the year (2016) at age 65. He has been in great health and he was even doing ZUMBA 5 days a week, sometimes even doing it twice a day. He started that 4 years ago after a little Blood Pressure episode scared him into better health management and a little blood pressure control medicine. So he has gotten in better shape and has been eating healthier, exercising, and planning his retirement with his family, friends, and Aliner!
At the beginning of last month it appeared he had caught a cold which seemed to turn into bronchitis and when that didn’t go away, they did a few tests and found some serious heart issues they are now trying to address. But as a result, he has been beat up pretty bad in the last few months. He has no energy or strength, and is barely able to walk up stairs. They are trying to stabilize him with various meds, but surgery isn’t out of the picture. It is very scary, and not a good way to start out a new chapter in one’s life. But life comes at us very fast ! You can’t always count on the future. Don’t wait to fulfill your dreams ! Youth is so very wasted on the young !
So, if you’re well-connected to the man upstairs, give my friend a mention in your next prayer meeting. And if you’re not, please wish him well ! And if you have dreams that you are hoping will come true in the future, don’t let them be too far in the future. There is a lot of life to live, many places to visit, and happiness around every corner ! All you have to do is look for it and smile ! It’s so very hard to be miserable while smiling !!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, and enjoy all the Holidays and after Holiday sales !!
I really like Carolyn’s RV life on YouTube. She travels with her dog Capone. New to RV living. You might like. I’ve also watched Justin Credible from Canada. Has modified his RV to perfection and now is selling it. 16 yrs on the road.
I’ve been subscribed to Carolyn. I can’t believe how fast she has grown her channel. And I’m in shock the Justin is sell his rig. I’m sure he will get another and do the same thing though. I think its in his blood !
