One of these things are not like the others.

I was invited and encouraged to come to my sons house in New York and celebrate his sons 1st year birthday. I went to his new dogs 1st year birthday, so I guess I was obligated to go to his son’s birthday. so with kindness, pick out which one is the probably birthday boy.

Visituing either of my two sons is an adventure in home improvement, this time is no differerent. But try fixing toilets an hanging doors with crowds of birthday well wishers and party decorating going on around you. not to mention the constant barking of dogs as people come to the door or walk down the street. we did get it qll one and the party day was great fun. THE DAUGHTER IN LAW PLANNED THE PARTY THEME to be alord of the rings and people came in silly customes and the banners were all LOTR THEMED. “The one birthday to rule them all”. And a spectacular cake to match. Hobbit party favorors and shirer food.

THere was ofcousre yard work and shopping to doe, And to make the week more family oriented, it was my sons birthday a few days earlier for me to remember. THank goodness for Akela helping me remember things. And to make the week complete we walked arou the nieghborhoor park every night and Akela picked up something from all the other dogs walking around the park. He had diarrehea for a week and was nice enough to share it with his cousins. Akela made the back yard a mess and impossible to clean up, but his cousins decided to do thier messes in the housr which excited my son emensly.

So now we are getting ready to leave this week and head to Yellowstone. and possibly a few more places. We are going to collect som e National park PAssport stickers and stamps. as we go. and have more new places on the itinerary. I really feel bad not pushing out weekly videos, but I am very glad to be relaxing in a comfortable airconditioned house with a constant flow of food. Stay happy folks, we’ will be back on the road in a week, working on video

  1. Thanks for your update. It sounded like you all had a good time visiting, and I’m sure we are all glad to hear that.
I’ll be in Yellowstone this month from the 21st through the 26th. We will be staying at the
Campground. Maybe we will see you there.
Safe travels, and give Akela an extra treat. He deserves it. (He asked me to tell you that)

    1. TOM, Which campground were you in? We were in grant village, it has showers!! Laundry and gas. I guess every place in yellowstone has gas, at $4 a gallon why not. We didn’t see anything interesting, but did spend an hour waiting for old faithful to blow. We drove the road all around the park. Did get to peak in a guys Spotting scope and see the wolf on top of a bison kill trying to keep the ravens and coyotes away in Lamar valley. I could not see the kill using my 1200mm Nikon camera and lens. I’m going to rant about that in my video. We did see bison everywhere, but I don’t need to go to Wyoming to see BISON. they seem to be all over the US these days. Are you going to quartzite this winter? I don’t thing I’ll be going, I’m out of money and patience with the wolf pup falling apart. Lost another bearing in NM. $1400 to fix and get home. 300 more than in texas. But it ws the bearing he fixed that failed. going to rebuild the wheel again myself so I know is right!
