I was looking over my posts and they seem rather dull. I will try to correct that. Also they seem mis-categorized. I have corrected that I believe. So now most of my posts here are “BLOGS” dealing with my daily attempts at getting videos out and working on the webpage (this thing). There area few that discuss my trips and places we have been, but I’m noticing not as many as I would like. We’ll try to change the trend in the future.
Whenever I sit down here to post something, I am instantly harassed by Dakota who keeps dropping a slimy toy in my lap so he can retrieve it. Anyone need a dog??
Anyway, I have borrowed a few books from the library on WordPress and will try to figure out the things I want to do here in a more efficient manner. Right now anytime I try to do anything but post a bland synopsis of the day or week, it takes me over 2 hours. Some of that of course is because of all the spelling corrections I always have to make, but still. :-/ Its good I can edit these posts days and weeks later !!
So, unlike other Vloggers, I feel I have done a really bad job in expanding on my videos to give you more information or details of our adventures. Some of the vlogs I follow on YouTube (honestly ? I follow 12-16) post a big details section on their webpage BEFORE they upload the video. Maybe they actually use the webpage post as the story board to the video. That would be a really good idea.. Who said that. Anyway. I feel like I have only just been giving a 1 to 5 star rating on my adventures. So I will try to give more details.
I also wanted to see if I might get you to tell me what you think of my plan for December and January. While I think we will still have some Local adventures, I fear they will be way less frequent and I want to try to maintain a Monday & Thursday upload schedule. So I was thinking of doing “Instruction and Analysis” videos on: Solar Power, Posting on YouTube, Neat Camera tricks I have found, etc. I also want to re-do some of my earlier videos, as I noticed they were uploaded at a very poor resolution. So if you think you would be turned off by that, or if you think you have some questions you want answered, leave a comment below. I’ll reply back and maybe we can get this working in a more productive way.
Hi Rick, I alos started watching your videos because I ventured out and bought a 2002 Aliner LXE Expedition. I justed the AOC and cant wait to go to a rally. I think my Aliner was modified since it has a 33(ish) gallon water tank under the couch at the back of the trailer. I am afraid to fill it because of the weight. I really like the fact that you talk about the Aliners and what you have done with it. Another reason I watch your videos is to see those two gorgeous boys of yours! They are absolutely lovable! Ceaser and Dakota are making want to go out and purchase or adopt a couple. But my Ragdoll cat and Quaker Parrot bird may not like that too much. lol I miss my Australian Shephard Rocket… I lost hom a year and a half ago. Still miss taking him everywhere. Anyway, I am really looking forward to following your new website. I enjoy the videos and your sense of humor makes me giggle.
My initial interest in following you on YouTube was because of your A-Liner. I was interested in purchasing one, but my (adult) children forbid me from “wasting” my money. You once mentioned that you might upgrade to a different RV, I’d be very interested in tagging along with you (via YouTube) as you look at different models. I’m also interested in boon-docking, so learning ways to live off grind would be welcomed. I think you are doing a great job with your vlogging, and always look forward to your posts.
Thanks !! I have a few video of looking at Motorhomes at small RV shows, but I did such a poor Job at Hershey I am reluctant to post them. However the ‘LEAN COLD MONTHS” are coming and I may have to use that footage to get my weekly videos out. So definitely stayed tuned. Also, Used Aliners maintained in good shape don’t loose value. In fact some of the older ones (2001-2010) have gained value. I am planning a video for December on solar and boondocking.
